Apple orchards have graced the Castle Hill estate since 1777, beginning with the Newtown Pippin, otherwise known as the Albemarle Pippin. Home to around 5,000 trees, Castle Hill nurtures around 40 diverse varieties of apples - which provide marvelous nectar for their resident bees and pollinators to harvest and thrive on.
