Northern Rangelands Trust is a membership organization owned and led by the 43 community conservancies it serves in the northern and coastal regions of Kenya and in Uganda. Their unwavering dedication revolves around the sustainable management of grasslands, forests, rivers, and marine ecosystems, all of which play a critical role in the well-being of local communities by preserving wildlife. Additionally, they provide assistance to member conservancies, grassroots organizations operated by indigenous communities, with the aim of enhancing the management of collectively-owned land.
With a shared focus on supporting communities and safeguarding the natural world, Northern Rangeland Trust's is a mission fit for Thistlerock. Local beekeepers under NRT’s protection are producing beautifully unique honeys that we are delighted to showcase in our Honey Library and are eager to ferment into special release meads. Stay tuned as we build out this exciting new partnership!
