Thistlerock is a proud member of the Community Climate Collaborative (C3), a collaborative of citizens, businesses, and governments local to central Virginia that develop bold solutions and measurable action plans to address equity and reduce climate pollution. 

C3 takes action at the community level through programs, collaborations, and advocacy which directly reduce climate pollution and increase climate leadership in Virginia communities. They were instrumental in leading Charlottesville City and Albemarle County in setting a goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. 

Thistlerock Mead Company is not only the first beverage company to join C3, we have also pledged to become carbon neutral ourselves. In fact, we are working to be the first meadery in the nation to achieve net zero carbon emissions – and the first winery in the Commonwealth of Virginia to do so.
