Arcady Vineyard is a picturesque vineyard and bed & breakfast located just outside of Charlottesville on 14 acres, featuring stunning forest views and luscious vines. Kathy & David Geist, alongside their loyal dog Coco, oversee a top-rated B&B where sustainability is a core value.
Thistlerock is privileged to be neighbors with the Geists, who have generously contributed their vineyard's grapes to us which we are using to make our first “pyment”, a mead made by fermenting honey wine grapes together. The vines at Arcady are all chambourcin grapes, a hardy French-American hybrid grape which tends to yield deeply colored, fruit-driven red wines with low tannins and a little tartness.
